Comfortable For Everyone

Please help us make the experience at Popejoy Hall comfortable for everyone by being courteous and following a few simple guidelines.

Children

We allow children two years and older in the theatre. We require a ticket for every member of your party, regardless of age; we do not issue lap passes for our events. We do not permit children under the age of two unless a show is designated an all-ages show. In consideration of others, please be sure the event is suitable for and of interest to your child. We do not allow strollers in the theater. Fire code prohibits standing in the back.

Late Seating

If you arrive late, you might not be seated until intermission. Each company performing in our hall sets its own late seating policy, which applies to those arriving late and those who step out of the hall during a performance. To avoid problems with a late seating policy, arrive early so you can attend to your comfort needs and be in your seat before curtain time. If a company allows patrons to enter or re-enter during a performance, patrons might be seated at the back of the hall or in the balcony to disturb as few patrons as possible. If you have questions about the late seating policy, ask an usher or house manager.

Recording Devices

We do not allow any cameras or recording devices in the hall during a performance. Recording any performance without the express permission of the performers, the production and/or the management of Popejoy Hall is a violation of the law.

Electronics

As a courtesy to performers and others in the audience, please turn off all electronic devices of any kind.

Food & Drink

We allow patrons to bring food and beverages purchased at Popejoy Concessions into the theater during Popejoy Presents performances. We do not allow outside food, chewing gum, or beverages in Popejoy Hall. We permit water bottles, either brought from home or purchased from Popejoy Concessions, in the theater during Popejoy Presents performances.

Seating for the Disabled 

Seating for people with disabilities is only available in the orchestra section. All price ranges are available for purchase. Transitional seating is also available. Inquire at the ticket office for availability.

Deaf & Hard of Hearing

We provide interpreters for Broadway productions at each Saturday matinee performance as necessary. To subscribe, choose Series 3 and request “Deaf and Hard of Hearing” seating in the special accommodations box on the order form. Due to requirements for scheduling interpreters, requests for show signers must be made 30 days prior to the performance. We handle single ticket and non-Broadway Ovation requests on a show-by-show basis; call (505) 277- 6746 or e-mail customerservice@popejoypresents.com for more information. We answer e-mails Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding holidays.

Bags

Oversized bags such as backpacks or luggage are prohibited from entering the theatre. Small purses and bags that can fit under the seat or comfortably in someone’s lap are fine. All bags are subject to security checks prior to performances.
