Help Bring the Magic of Broadway to Everyone!
“Broadway for Teens” provides free Broadway tickets for students from New Mexico’s Title I public high Schools.
Launched in 2023, the education and outreach program has welcomed over 350 high school students from across New Mexico’s urban, rural, and tribal communities to experience top tier shows. During their visit, the teens will also engage with the University of New Mexico, their faculty, and their students.
Here’s what participating high school students and teachers have said about the experience:
Thank you for taking a chance on us. I don’t think you can truly understand the good you’ve done for West Mesa and our Hispanic Community. THANK YOU!
West Mesa High School student, Albuquerque, N.M.
I never thought I would be able to do this, my family doesn’t have this kind of money. I didn’t know watching a show could make me cry. It was so awesome. Seeing Hamilton helped me pass my history test! Thank you!
High School Students from the Cuba Independent School District, Cuba, N.M.
Before the Lion King performance, our high school class toured the UNM College of Fine Arts and had a presentation by faculty. The very next day, a senior from our school registered as a freshman at UNM. The senior had no desire to attend college. Broadway for Teens changed that!
Valencia High School Teacher, Los Lunas N.M.
Your gift will introduce more students to live Broadway productions on the vibrant University of New Mexico Campus, where education and culture thrive!!
