  • Life insurance death benefits
  • Gifts of real estate you do not want to manage any longer

Endowment gifts

Endowment gifts commemorate the lives of family loved ones, dear friends, or special people who may have touched your life. We hope you will consider establishing an individually named endowment, starting at the $25,000 level, or contribute to one of the existing Popejoy endowments below.

Here are Patrons who have touched our lives at Popejoy Hall:

  • The Gene and Marion Castiglia Endowment for the Popejoy Children's Schooltime Series was established on December 27, 2010 by the late Dr. Eugene Castiglia and his wife, Marion Castiglia. Dr. Castiglia embodied so much of what we at Popejoy value- service to community, individual integrity and excellence. The Castiglia's created the $100,000 endowment because arts education was a lifelong pursuit. The endowment will bring joy to so many children and expand their knowledge and appreciation of the arts.

  • Maggie Batsel and Friends established The Popejoy Schooltime Education Endowment on October 8, 2003. The purpose is to support The Popejoy Schooltime Series.

  • The Jeffrey Sherman Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in September 1977 by the family of Jeff Sherman, who died tragically in an auto accident. Jeff was an exceptional student at UNM who loved his job working backstage at Popejoy Hall. Each year outstanding UNM students who work at Popejoy Hall are nominated by their Department Directors for the Jeffrey Sherman Memorial Scholarship which provides a modest stipend for the student in recognition of their achievements.
