Classic bluegrass shares the stage with an energetic new band when Ralph Stanley and Cherryholmes come to Popejoy. Performing for over 60 years, Grammy-winner Ralph Stanley and his Clinch Mountain Boys have become the bedrock of bluegrass music, still drawing large crowds today. The bluegrass family Cherryholmes visited a bluegrass festival in 1999 and formed their own band, creating a sensation with bluegrass lovers everywhere. Each band plays its own set, then comes together for a grand bluegrass finale.
