Mavis Staples, Charlie Musselwhite, North Mississippi All-Stars and Joe Krown have created a lot of music over the years. Now they’ll generate a lot of music all on one stage. Mavis Staples led The Staple Singers (“Respect Yourself,” “I’ll Take You There”) and has become an inspiration in popular music. Eight Grammy nominations and 18 W. C. Handy Awards make Charlie Musselwhite a one-man blues phenomenon. North Mississippi Allstars won three Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Blues Album. New Orleans-style piano and Hammond B-3 player Joe Krown is a favorite of the Crescent City and has won numerous awards for his recordings and performances.
